LCN takes to the ice
Toronto, October 27 2010 - Serge Fortin, vice-president of TVA Nouvelles, is happy to announce the return of a program entirely dedicated to sports. As of next January, Monday to Friday evenings on the LCN network will include debates and discussions on the sports hot topics of the day. Michel Villeneuve, a credible and experienced journalist well known for his frank opinions, will be hosting the show. « We shall make a program that is true to the TVA and Quebec image. That is to say, close to the people. »
Michel Villeneuve will be backed up by whole team: Dave Morissette, ex-player of the Montreal Canadians will come to debate and discuss current sports topics, in his always colourful style; ex-NHL coach , Bob Hartley, will bring his expertise and knowledge from his numerous years behind the bench; columnist Yvon Pedneault, will share his hockey enthusiasm. LCN reporter, Jean-Paul Chartrand, as well as several other colleagues and distinguished guests will also be invited.
For executive producer of TVA Productions, François Carignan, the difference with programs of the same type will be obvious because, he says: « the pertinence of the comments of our team will be our strength. These are very active debaters and are very well connected with professional hockey. People who have privileged access where it really counts! »
The passion of sports is shared by all Quebecers. That's why this program will call upon the expertise of the Quebec commentators. Michel Villeneuve and his colleagues will also speak for amateur who will be invited to give their opinions, through social networks and through the " Mon Topo " website.
